My W212 Is Not Lower Enough

Guys, i need some advice here

Currently i drive 2012 E250 CGI Avantgarde, and fitted with 19" F 8.5 R 10 on 245/35/19 & 275/30/19
Lowered with eibach pro-kit. For the front i got 1.5-2 finger gap & no problem with that. The problem is on rear height since if i measure with finger method, it had 2.5-3 finger gap from fender line to tyre
(sorry i don't know the exact value in inch/mm).

I consider to change my stock shock absorbers with bilstein B8-Sprint or change my springs to H&R since H&R stated in their website
that their spring will lowered approximately 1.4-inch on front & 1.3-inch on rear. Honestly, i prefer to change my shock absorbers therefore my springs are still useful but
what became my doubts is it will make more lower or not.

So i need some good advice from all bros, experts, mechanics here in this forum for what step i should take beside cut or press my springs.

Thank You

The rear is barely lowered. Have you ever thought of coil overs?

Should have gone H&R. Mine lowered w/ H&R and the stance is pretty much right on.

I think there is some type of bushing/pad in between the springs/car that you may be able to change. Not sure if that would make a 1-2 finger difference tho...

yes i have but i prefer springs because i use this car for daily used and the price a set of coil overs are more expensive.

are changing the shock absorbers affect the height?

This might be why: From Eibach's site

0.8" x 0.5" Eibach Pro-Kit Lowering Kit #2581.140

Pro-Kit Lowering Kit with 0.8" Front and 0.5" Rear Body Drop by Eibach®. Includes: 4 Springs. These performance-oriented replacement spring sets offer a lower-than-stock ride height that maintains ride comfort during normal driving while eliminating body roll, dive, and squat to create a more enjoyable level of aggressive driving.

yeah...0.5" is small number. Another version of Eibach website stated 30mm drop for FA & RA. What do you use at your E350?

i have seen in some articles that mentioned "links" for the suspension.
What do they mean by "links"? is that kind of brand/something?

Links are for air equipped suspensions. The e550 have them and E63 have them in the rears. it's pretty much a small 3 inch or so stick that is adjustable to trick the computer.

I had coil overs from my past vehicles. Coilovers are great and you can adjust the height to your liking.

Just get new. I had mine in my previous car for over 7yrs without any issues. I would do the same for my E550 but I am going to lower mine with lowering links. Very affordable alternative and works just like Coilovers in terms of height adjustments.

Your model does not have air suspension so Coilovers are your best bet.

Out of those, I would go KW Coilovers. But do some research first because it is very subjective in what you are looking for.

If you want get the rear down you need to put the thinnest spring pads in. Mine had #3 and they were changed to #1
