yup unscathed, just some backache's and headache. They are pinning this on me even though i was trying to save my car, and the car in front.

thanks man, Long story short, i was in the lane next to the carpool, and traffic stopped really quick, i couldn't stop with out hitting the guy in front, so i halfway ditched into the carpool lane so i could save myself, the car behind me, and in front, and this truck came, that i did not see and nailed me, did a straight 180 in the lane.

You wasn't texting... or some other way distracted... and then was about to rear end the car in front of you and to avoid collision quickly changed lane and that pick-up truck came from behind and caught you...?

yup no distraction what so ever, i didn't so much change lanes, more so just protruded, out so the nose wouldn't touch and yea the truck was in the others lane and rammed right into me, i honestly didn't see him, if i had i would have taken the mild-to semi medium collision that was going to happen with me rear ending someone and someone rear ending me rather then this catastrophic one :/

I hope your doing well Bob2011. The car did it's job and can always be replaced. As long as your in good health theses things can always be replaced but your life can't! Not to bash on other car brands(Toyota, Honda, Etc) but God forbid if it was one of those cars things would of been a lot worse!

But this is exactly why I will always have my family ride in Mercedes.!

+1. I totaled a rental minivan and 2 other cars when I was in a rear end collision in August. That is when I started looking for my next car and I was sold on getting one with adaptive cruise control. Distronic Plus is amazing!

Talking about all these accidents... I almost had a catastrophic accident on the 405 Northbound today when a douchebag in a g30 decided to cut into my lane. Never did I slam so hard on the brakes and was I lucky because I was literally inches away from hitting his tail and making his car spin like in one of those police chases.

Good thing I had crazily fast reaction time and the brakes held out. Drive safe everybody!!!!

May be Distronic Plus is what you need for your next ride because I have read some testimonials and in W212 Forum by one of our members about that .He said D+ prevented him from involving a crash when doing +70 mph (I remember his name but for some reason I don't wanna give out his name )

Distronic is definite on my list for the next w212 we purchase, i have looked up some w212's yesterday, and only found e63's with Distronic, no e350, or 550 with it.
