Lowering springs on 2014 E350 4matic
I just got a 2014 E350 4matic. Thinking about lowering the car. I know both Eibach and H&R show that they don't make one for the 4matic sedan model, but I have heard that the non-4matic springs actually also work on the 4matic cars. For example, the springs for 535i works on the 535Xi.
Can someone confirm this?

For example. I know that H&R 535i springs works on the 535xi. But H&R also said they don't have springs for the 4WD model.
I think Juliana21 has a 4matic car. She/he used Votgland springs on the car. I checked Votgland website. They also only have 2WD springs.
So I want confirmation from people who has used the 2WD springs on the 4matic models that everything is working ok.

It will probably work but the spring rates would be incorrect. That might be a problem in the long run.

2006-C350. really stupid question. How would different spring rate affect the car? My simple mind always thought if the cars are the same weight, the springs will work the same.

I wonder if H&R is the same.
I'm sure they work, I would just be concerned with the spring rate because they're made specifically for different weights.
But VOTGLAND specifically listed on their catalogue that the spring is for W212 model including the 4WD model. I wonder if they specifically engineered/designed for it.
But different spring rates will not only change the ride height but more importantly will change the vehicle dynamics.
So when you take it into a corner, stab the brakes and set a turn, the rebound characteristics may not provide the grip you need to get through the corner.
Wrong spring/damping rates can also result in accelerated tire wear.
Ever notice how much time race teams take on spring/shock setups?

None of you guys are tracking the cars and if you are you picked a wrong one to do it with. Seriously, the MB with the stock springs with a capable driver will outperform any of you guys with a perfect setup. I have yet to hear someone wanting to change the springs for better driving performance, all you want is smaller wheel gap with a ridiculously annoying ride.
May I ask what size of wheel you have? I was thinking about getting a set of 20"s. But the more and more I think about it and look at other people's car. I think I may down size to 19".
Wheels:
20 x 8.5 F et34 235/35
20 x 10 R et40 275/30
NO Rubbing!!! not once
Because while F10 BMW looks good with 20" and fit ok with 21", W212 will not.
Also, Potholes are everywhere in Chicago. I damaged a set of wheel with each of my last two cars (20"s on the F10 BMW, 19" on the W204 MB).
