upgrade to Active Pre-Brake and Active Lane Assist?

upgrade to Active Pre-Brake and Active Lane Assist?
I was wondering if anyone had any thought or knowledge on, if it is possible (without trading in my car), to upgrade to the active versions of the driving assist features?

Practically not. It would be very expensive to do.

It is part of the Driving Assist Package which also includes Distronic+ and comes with a more advanced version of the ESP. Just as anything else it is doable but most likely cost prohibitive.

I did contact this Dutch shop about installing the Distronic only in my 2011 E350 when I had it. The parts alone were quoted at $7000 and I would have had to bring the car to their shop in Holland.

I would have considered it but getting the car back and fort over the ocean would have been too much so I vent and traded for the E550 with the driver assist package.

Thanks Everyone, that is what I thought - better to trade-up to a car that already has it. I am kinda looking for a good price on a E550 or in a couple of years an E400 4MATIC with the performance engine not the hybrid, as this is not my main commute car.
