W212 Tail light problem
Hello, I have a problem with my W212 E-class.

The right side LED tail is always on after shut down. Just the one side and 4 LED is on always after yesterday.
Its one LED in either side of the corners on the inner light/lamp on trunk.
Anybody who have had this problem? Easy fix?
Searched the forum in forehand with no resuts.
The car is an Europen model and its not the light for smal streets function, becouse its only in the back. Hope someone can help.

They are off. Switch is at auto.
Have taken off the negative for a "cold start" of the ecu, but no luck there either. Know it was a long shot but one could be suprised.

My first guess but the wrong side. Mine has only fog on left side.

If its not your fog lights or parking lights then it sounds like a short.

That I was afraid of. Damn. Could it be in the SAM module? Or a fuse somewhere?

Hi,

I've got the same problem today...my E250 W212 rear light does not went off automatically...even the licence plate still switch on after locking the car...

does anybody have this issue??? or fix?? is this known issue for this model?

Sorry for not uppdating. Been away on a little holiday.
Found out it was the rear SAM module that was broken. A new one was ordered and mounted. Problem solved under Waranty.
