we've been getting hit hard with snow in Chicago and the 4-matic does about as well as my wife's G35x and my old G37x did... perhaps better. I feel like the benz prevents you from over-throttling better than the Infinitis therefore keeps you on track better, but if you are more aggressive with the throttle, you'll lose your back end a bit before it attempts to correct the fish-tail.

Snow loves to get packed in the wheel wells and it gets noisy in the cabin from the wheels bumping up against the packed snow.

Drove to ski for the ski season, loved the 4 Matic, never go wrong by getting the 4 Matic. It works great on both of my E350 and E550.
