Impressive Highway Mileage Recorded
did about 80% highway driving over the last week and a half and comfortably went 741 miles using 17.89 gallons of diesel. this works out to 41.4mpg for the fill-up. i've been tracking on fuelly.
the car felt great as a long-distance commuter over 4 days, but my "road ***" doesn't feel so nice. maybe i need to build up a tolerance, but would prefer if MB put some tempurpedic material in the seat bottom, or something like that.
the porcelain leather seats seem to be taking a blue beat down from my jeans. here is a quick pic that hopefully shows it:

Great records in deed
I have also heard of X204 GLK's ARTICO seats transferring color from jeans namely on dark ones .
Being black color trim in my car I don't have that problem however I wear lol

thanks guys!
i should note that the seats clean up very quickly with a simple interior or leather cleaner. it's just the frequency of the needed cleaning that can be tedious.

Would your passengers be tolerant if you drove in the nude?
Just to protect your seats.
Impressive #'s though.

OP, do you have the multi-contour seats? Or just the standard seats? I find the multi-contour seats to be much more comfortable and supportive especially for long highway drives. When I had a GLK loaner with the standard seats my butt started to ache after about an hour of driving. Because of that experience I would never buy another Benz without the multi-contour seat option.

Great mileage. Jeans are tough on light colored seats - the ash leather in my '04 E class showed lots of blue from jeans. Get one of those cheap seat towel things (dealers in the DC metro area all seem to have them) to save your seats.

i'm gonna think about it, because it is mildly annoying to clean it so much. porcelain seats do look dope, though.
