2014 Vibration

I have a 2014 E350 with the sport package. The other day I rolled down the rear window and got a bad wind vibration. Similar to when a sun roof is open and you reach up and pull down that little wind deflector and the wind seems to vibrate around inside the car. It happened with either window down and both windows at the same time made it worse. I also tried the air on and off and it did not matter. And it only happens around 25-50mph. The car only had 150 miles on it and I tried with the rear window shade up or down and it did not matter. Any thoughts?

When i first notice this i took it to the dealer and said nothing can be done. it the way it is design i was surprise with all the engineering goes into Mercedes they could not design the wind noise when you roll down one side of your back window
believe me i was shocked i thought there was something really wrong with my car as soon as i roll down adjacent window same side the noise is gone.
like people posted the wind coming in the car makes a terrible noise...
wish you luck take it in see what they say but i do not like your chances
good luck

And tonight was the first time I tried using the apps on the navi. Don't get me started on that dinosaur.
How can such a beautiful car that drives the way it does be so.......ancient in areas!
When will engineers get around to eliminating the high-pitched whine I hear every time I open this forum.

Also if you don't have help or solutions to someone questions, quit wasting their time by posting
i had my Lexus GS350 it never made that noise
so i will disagree with you..
As far as whining well we are all here to help one another brain storm and pick one another brains - ideas and help..

Thanks and I concur.
My 2010 E63 doesn't do it.

My 2008 E350 didn't do it.

My 2012 4dr Tundra doesn't do it.

My in-laws 2008 E350 doesn't do it.

My parents 2007 E350 doesn't do it.

My 2011 4dr Tundra didn't do it.

My 2004 C320 didn't do it.

Heck, even this huge 2004 4dr Seagrave doesn't do it.

Sorry, I'll stop whining now.

dream on I've never owned a car that does NOT do this! well, maybe my convertible doesn't do it.
google....window...buffeting....sedan....Anybody who has a kid knows that when the kid puts down a window in the back, it buffets like crazy.
Autoweeks Stephen Cole Smith agrees....
"I've been asked that question it three times in the past month. But I don't have an answer. Last week I lowered the rear windows in a $120,000 car, and the buffeting was so bad it sounded like we were inside a cement mixer. I suspect that as manufacturers concentrate more on aerodynamics, they design vehicles that allow the wind to flow around the body, not into the windows. My only suggestion is taking test drives, and note that sometimes the buffeting can be lessened by barely opening the front windows, or a sunroof. But otherwise, I know of no one who tests for this."
I guess deflecting more air away from the sides of a sedan is a good solution. sacrifice mileage because someone can't crack a front window and a rear at the same time.

I apologize for my ad-hominem attack on the group, obviously making a satirical point. To criticize this as a design FLAW when it occurs in virtually every four door'ed vehicle is a bit ridiculous. How often do you drive around with a BACK window open? I doubt many cruise around at highway speeds with one or both back windows open(again, unless they have a child or a dog). If this is your dealbreaker, that's kind of nuts. (if your window is open for a dog, and his head is out the window A) your dog shouldn't have his head out the window at highway speeds, and B) the dogs head prevents buffeting....).

...very fkn annoying!! Windows up A/C ON!!! Is da answer
!!

Thank you Schorert1 for some advise but unfortunately I do not have a dog. I do have a stray cat I want to "relocate" though. But that might be a temporary fix.
To the thing OP wanted help for.
Have noticed this too. So i bought som wind deflectors for the windows. It helped, but it looks cheap as hell. So i just had to take them off.
Conclusion: wind deflectors help, but cheapens the look for the car.
(Sorry for any wrong/bad languge)
