W212 Wagon Advice - For Newbie
First of all as a newbie to this forum, I would like to say that I've acquired a great amount of knowledge by browsing through the various threads the past few months on the quest for a new family vehicle. Thanks for the wealth of knowledge each of you take the time to share with us less experienced to Benz. It is truly appreciated!
After, considering many options (SUVs, large sedans, and wagons), I have decided that I want to be a proud owner of a E350 Wagon. However, I have a few questions before I pull the trigger:
1) Should I be concerned with the fuel efficiency difference between a 2011 and 2012/2013? How about any of the other differences (command, etc)?
2) What is a fair price for a 2011 Wagon with sport pkg, P2, rear entertainment and Pano roof? Vehicle has ~50,000 miles.
3) Does anyone know where a new 2013 Wagon can be still purchased with similar options as listed in item # 2 above? If so, what would a fair purchase price be? Would the 15% - 20% various threads have mentioned regarding remaining 2013 E Models apply to Wagons as well?
Thanks in advance!

OP I think they are trying to have some fun with you. What I'm reading into their jokes is that you might have a hard time finding a wagon since they are kind of rare and maybe not discounted that much. I don't think the fuel economy should be different because I don't think the engine has changed and the command didn't change till 2014. Anyone confirm that? When they stop laughing they may chime back in.
Some maybe out in their manicured gardens playing in the dirt anyway.

totally - this has nothing to do with OP, just cracking up over those GIF's. dafoe has a perfect troll face.
OP - my advice would be to wait until the summer/fall and order yourself a brand new E400 twin turbo wagon with sports package. get the best 19" wheels they offer, go 40% tint all around, get airmatic for comfort, debadge it, get the ECU tuned, and rock out with your **** out. forget about all the "packages" except for NAV, and just drive that thing. dealers are push overs these days. deflation is setting in. demand 20% off sticker or just walk away. one of them will execute that order for you - for sure.

E350 4Matic 2011
AFAIK fuel economy improved for the E350 for 2012 with the introduction of the direct injection engine (over the 2011). Someone may have a new 2013 wagon on a lot somewhere - ask your dealer for a search.

In my search (two years ago now, but still), I wanted P2 and Luxury, and the choices were VERY slim.
I think the giggles come because finding P2 and a wagon is going to be close to impossible, plus the MBUSA website doesn't allow you to search for something as simple as P2, you'll have to open every wagon listing and look at the options one by one.
I found mine, I am sure you'll find yours too.

2014 E350 Wagon
I ended up buying a new wagon because it's close to impossible finding one the way you want it. You might be more willing to compromise than I was but to me buying used was not an option.
As for pricing, the used wagon market is pretty slim and each car will be priced uniquely so you just have to decide whether an individual car is worth it or not. There certainly isn't the abundance of used wagons as there is sedans and P2 will be even harder to find, forget about getting Distronic or anything other than white on beige.
As for the difference between model years it will be the same as the difference between the sedans. I posted documents from the WIS that list every difference between model years:
https://mbworld.org/forums/5883953-post218.html
On the note of wagon discounts, you can expect 5-6% off MSRP on a new one but pretty much all manufacturer to dealer incentive has been excluding the wagon so you will not get the same incredible 15-16% off that you can attain on a sedan. Given that they're in short demand and short supply dealers have lesser of an incentive to discount them as you can't walk across the street and buy an A6 Avant or a 5 series wagon.
Best of luck with your search and purchase!

2013 E350 Sport Wagon - 4Matic
Hey guys! I just put down a deposit on a new 2013 E350 Wagon with the following:
1) Sport pkg
2) 18 AMG rims
3) Panaromic Roof
4) P2
It will ship to me next week from an out of state dealer. What do you think a fair deal on the above 2013 Wagon to be?
Thanks!

Since its a 2013, you should ask for $15k off MSRP. I got $10k off my 2013 wagon last April. Several dealers in CA have 5 to 8 wagons on the lot each and are giving around 10k off and that's for new 2014 model.
