I have a 2014 E350 sport sedan with Full LED lighting option. When I press the Rear Fog Light button to the left of the light switch, the rear fog light on left rear comes on, but when I've done this in the garage and can see the light on the wall, the low beams flatten and widen when the Rear Fog Light button is pressed. While I would prefer to have separate Front and Rear Fog lights as I have on my 2007 ML350, it appears to me that the 2014 E350

Nope, it is only on the diesels in the USA. It is not on the gasoline ones - even with the lighting package. It seems like Mercedes forgot to code it out of the diesels. Anyone super familiar with DAS should be able to code it in - but I had no luck finding anyone who could do this with my W204 w/lighting package and so I am not holding my breath.
I would agree with them being totally unnecessary on the W212 with the lighting package. But I do wish they had allowed the fog feature to work on ILS-equipped USDM gasoline models
Well yours must be special because on mine nothing changes in the front, no dipping or turning of the headlamps. The button you're referring to only turns on the rear fog lamp on the driver side and that is all it does.
If you see no change after hitting the fog lamp button, then something's wrong with the left headlight ECU.
What gets me about the fog lamp thing is this - in the picture (highlighted area), there's a spot for the rear fog lamp indicator that doesn't light up. I hit the fog lamp button, the front light adjusts, and the front fog lamp indicator illuminates, but need to check if a rear driver's side light goes on or becomes brighter, I don't think it does. In any case, not sure why they have a spot for the rear fog lamp indicator in the instrument cluster if it never illuminates?

I think the headlight beam pattern only changes on cars with the lighting package
fog lamp button does nothing I can see on our 2016 facelift E350 with ILS. There are no separate fog lamps mounted in the lower position.
Try at night, hit the fog button, ensure the lamps are hitting the house or garage door; driver's side should move slightly lower and out. If nothing happens and you have ILS, something's up with the left headlight.

Are you sure LCG? my son's 2015 with ILS the beam pattern spread wider, on mine with HID the headlight goes down slightly, yes, there are no actual fog lights, but on my HID car I have running lights were the non-ILS cars have high beams

i can certainly see my ILS lights lead into turns, but I've toggled the fog button while driving on a very dark mountain road, and saw no change. I'll look closer.

I should have checked before posting, but I did last night - hitting the fog lamp button, I can clearly see a bright LED on the driver's side illuminate in the rear, not just the front change in the driver's side low beam. So that answers that question.
The cluster icon that doesn't illuminate still bugs me though
