2014 E350 or 2012 E350 Wagon?
We are in the process of looking for an E class wagon and we have found two that we like a lot, both of which are CPO.
The first is a 2012 model, the other is a 2013 registered 2014 model.
Are there any huge differences between the two? Should we discard the 2012 as the advancements were that significant?
Finally, do they both use the direct injection v6?
Thanks in advance for all the help.
Chris

And, no these are not DI engines.
Mercedes introduced the 302HP Direct Injection V6 engines in 2012.
To quote from the MB Canada website: "Mercedes V6 gas engines are equipped with the latest direct injection technology……high pressure injection using piezo reduces fuel consumption."
Also, refer to www.edmunds.com for 2012 MB engine specs on the direct injection V6 that was introduced for MY2012 and continues into MY2014.
Back to the OP's questions: the major differences between 2012 and 2014 are cosmetic, with some additions to passive safety for the 2014. It really comes down to how much you want to spend, new car v's CPO, and the front end styling. The engines are the same !
Styling is of course very subjective, but I prefer the more classic front styling of the MY2012-2013. I feel it is more cohesive with the rest of the car's angular appearance. No matter which car you choose, you will be getting one great wagon ! By the way, there are still some MY2013 E350 wagons in dealers' new car inventory; you could probably get one heck of a deal if you look around.

I personally prefer the new look of the E-class and absolutely love Distronic+ with Steering Assist.

We are looking through and my advice is always to go for the latest model, but the 2012 we found, does have literally every single option on, including panoramic roof, which is a nice addition imo.
It appears there is not a huge amount in it but we will continue with either.
Thanks all
