You are incorrect in your assumption I am just another "tight ****" that buys a Benz. I have my reasons for running an older car, it does not mean I couldn't buy a new one, it just means that I choose not to, and for all you know this could be my second or third car. Perhaps I should make my own assumption about you and your ignorant and arrogant attitude to myself and others.
Like I said, you're a chronic tight **** who expects everything for free, go buy a Hyundai tight ****!!

I am sure you think you're right, I have no wish to disappoint your subjective and highly intelligent argument therefore I shall not bother to reply further and I will let other make their own judgement. Have a nice day.

what you're not accounting for in your cost analysis is how much NRE (non-recurring engineering) was involved. Sorting out all the codings you have to set to change an option like that, and getting it working 100% reliably via a 'dongle' so it will work on all cars, is not trivial otherwise anyone could do it. they might only ever sell a few 100 of these because there just aren't that many 212 owners that care.
