2014 E550 - Secondary Cat Delete for some more volume?

I really like the way my car drives, the sound is great too. Nice deep rumble.

But it's a bit too quiet for me. I'm thinking of doing a secondary cat delete. Anyone had good experiences with this?

What about resonator? From my readings, this doesnt seem to reduce sound / exhaust note too much. But it can reduce the raspiness. So I'm inclined to keep this while just removing a pair of cats.

My other car is a 6.2L c63 with long tube headers and H pipe. It sounds wonderful. I'm looking to recreate some of that sound on the E550.

I'm pretty sure most guys take off the two resonators first.

Cool. I think I'll just delete everything after the primary cats (minus the mufflers)

This should sound good right?

Friend of mine had only the resonators taken off for his 14’ e550 and it sounds beautiful. Careful taking off the secondary cats, you could lose some hp/tq

There are NO secondary cats on a 2014 E550. There are 2 cats, then 1 small resonator, and a large resonator(unless you have a coupe, then it's 2 cats, 2 small resonators and one large resonator). Remove the resonators first and have 2.5" pipe installed in their places. If that's not loud enough for you, then remove the mufflers. If you want it as loud as your 6.2, you'll need to remove the mufflers as well, if you want it as loud as mine, you'll need to go catless.

Here is cold start with 3" catless Downpipes and straight 3" with and X-Pipe and dumps:

Also, you will NOT lose ANY power by opening the exhaust. You will gain power, guaranteed.

E550 Cats removed replaced with 3 in down pipes.

How do you remove the cats with the O2 sensors in them without setting off codes?

Have been driving with resonator deleted for a good while now. Replaced by a H Pipe. Very nice and deep rumble, im very happy with the volume and note. I also deleted the mufflers but put them back on after one day because of how loud (in a bad way) it was.
