Drivers window rattle

HI All, I was wondering if anyone else experiences a rattle coming from the driver side window. Specifically the top of the window.
I have a 2013 E350 wagon, and every morning, the top edge of the drivers window would rattle. Took it to the dealer twice and they could not reproduce.

I've traced it to the window lowering itself by about 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch after a few hours. So if I quickly pull up on the window switch after starting the car, the rattle goes away until the car sits for a few hours or the door is opened/closed a number of times.

It's right next to my ear so the sound is very annoying.

Anyone else experience this and has it resolved?

Thanks

Did you do a window reset?

You must reset all the side windows if the side window cannot be closed fully.
X Close all the doors.
X Turn the key to position 2 in the ignition
lock.
X Pull on the corresponding switch on the door control panel until the side window is completely closed
X Hold the switch for an additional second.
If the side window opens again slightly:
X Pull the corresponding switch again immediately and hold it for approximately one second.

No I did not do a window reset. I will try it this afternoon.

For keyless go systems, what would be equal to position 2? (engine running?)

I'm sure it is the first thing the tech tried, but worth another shot.
Make sure you are in the car with the door closed. No foot on brake. Press the start button two times, so all lights are on.

Ignition (or position 2)
X Press the KEYLESS-GO start/stop button
twice.
This supplies power to all consumables.

^sorry, trying to copy and paste from the manual and no the engine is NOT on.

Thanks, I'll give that a try this afternoon. The tech didn't try anything, he just took it for a test drive and said he couldn't duplicate it. When I got the car back later that afternoon, as soon as I drove off the dealer lot, the rattle noise was there and very loud. I'm not sure how he could've missed it. I didn't go back in because they had a long line of people picking up cars, and my 6 year old in the back seat was starving.

Yep, been there all right! Make sure to consciously hold the button in the up position for 1-2 seconds. This reset is common among many manufacturers and has always worked for me. Good luck!

Reference bulletin LI72.40-P-058061 to SA https://mbworld.org/forums/5905863-post179.html If the power window is being closed manually and, when the upper limit stop is reached, the power window switch is released "too early", the automatic renormalization of the power window system does not occur. If repeated several times, this can result in denormalization of the power window system – update door control unit software.

Well it didn't work. Window still seems to drop a tiny fraction of an inch, just enough so it's not making a firm contact with the top of the window frame and causing it to rattle over slightly rough roads. A quick pull on the window switch usually fixes it. Sometimes I have to lower the window an inch and then raise it to fix it. Problem re-appears a few hours later.

Seem the window motor is having problems keeping the window closed. I guess I'll have to take it back to the dealer again and hopefully they can reproduce it this time.

Thanks for the suggestions!
