Service Campaign 2013110002 NOV13 – Model years 2011-2013 166, x166, 172, 204, x204, 207, 212, 216, 218, 221, 231, 251 fuel system control module software does not correspond to current production configuration Check Engine Light (CEL) may occur, dealer will update software. Approximately 123,831 vehicles affected.

Service Campaign 2013110011 DEC13 – 2013 212 Hybrid Operators Manual may not have been installed, dealer will install. Approximately 11 vehicles affected.

LI88.60-P-049559 APR12 – 212 fuel filler flap deformed, opens/closes poorly. (1) Paintwork does not cover entire area of attachment point between rear of fuel filler flap and filler flap arm, substrate absorbs moisture at this point. (2) The retaining strap can become twisted from opening the tank filler cap this can cause the retaining strap to wedge behind the hinge arm obstructing closing sequence. The height of the stop buffer located on the left of the tank recess can impair the opening and closing behavior of the fuel filler flap. Remedies: cut off stop buffer on the left of the tank recess as this will help to improve the opening and closing behavior, replace filler flap.

LI88.70-P-056690 OCT13 – 212 (code(803) outside mirrors can fog up at outside temperatures below 15 degrees C (60F) up to production 1/2013 heated mirrors are actuated only 10 minutes after engine start, code front door control units so mirrors are actuated continuously.

LI46.35-P-057738 NOV13 – 212 4matic & 212 AMG facelift (804) with direct steering (211), battery discharged. DS control unit does not switch to idle state when vehicle is locked, update software.

LI54.25-P-056472 NOV13 – 166, 204 (GLK only), 212, 218, 246 key is not recognized vehicle cannot be started and/or transmission shifts to “Automatic P”, replace electronic ignition switch (EIS).

LI80.61-P-057752 NOV13 – 212 VIN A909083 – A920630 & 222 A020500 – A023037 Keyless Go (889) vehicle cannot be opened/closed or started via KG manufacturer fitted key with wrong processor. KG function worked in the past - yes, perform diagnostics; no, replace affected key.

LI27.19-P-057771 DEC13 - 212.098, 298 Bluehybrid, 095 Hybrid & 222.057, 157 Hybrid various transmission problems including intermittently cannot shift into reverse also CEL may light up. Oil pressure switch is faulty. If problem occurs in combination with fault code P087000, replace TCU.

LI72.20-P-053019 DEC12 – 212.2 up to VIN 663422 & 204.2/204.9 with code 809 up to 942003 automatic liftgate malfunctions (gap dimensions not OK, reverses direction when closing, and/or does not open completely). Jamming of the liftgate lock caused by faulty actuation from rear SAM can bend the left tailgate hinge. Replace hinge and rear SAM.

I just bought a CPO 2011 E350 4Matic Sport. I noticed today when sitting idle, the AC/Heat blower fluctuates in speed when set at a level 3 or higher. You don't notice it with the radio on and it is hard to notice while driving with the radio off. But sitting at a light or in park....it blows harder, then softer, etc. I did a Google search and came across a website called eautorepair.com (mitchell's). It shows a TSB that may be my issue, but want you to pay a subscription to see it. So a couple questions:

** Is a site like that worthwhile to pay to use to get access/alerts on TSB's for my MB/

** Does anyone have details of the following TSB: LI83.30-P-056980 · BLOWER OUTPUT OF AIR CONDITIONING FLUCTUATES, LOSES POWER OR STOPS OCCASIONALLY

I thought the "heated" mirrors were only active when the rear window defogger is activated and it is on a timer.
Haven't experienced this problem on my 2010 even at temps as low as 30 degrees F.

Bulletin applies to MY13 (803). Temperatures below 15°C (60°F) the heated outside mirrors are actuated continuously and they can always be activated by turning on the rear defrost.

My car is a E250 2012 coupe Avantegarde and starting to experience power loss in all sectors and this issue consistently and at deLer at least 20 times since I bought the car, frustrating but trying to deal with issue. Is it better to get in touch with Daimler, Germany instead is my question ?

I want to be 100% sure that these two issues are affecting my Benz and then bring up the issue to my dealer. In a third world country it is not easy to do these things so how do I confirm that these issues are in fact a reality ?

I had this issue on my first 2014 E550 and they replaced the entire steering column and the steering gear, and the problem went away. I had the grinding all the time though.

LI83.00-P-058688 MAR14 – 212 hybrid AC intermittently does not cool, replace evaporator shut off valve.

Service Campaign 2014020004 MAR14 – MY14 212 & 218 weld seams at rear axle cross member may not be to specification, check and repair left & right weld seams. Approximately 1263 vehicles affected. Have dealer check VMI to see if VIN is included.

Service Campaign 2014030001 APR14 – MY13-14 212 hybrid transmission control module software does not correspond to current production configuration, update software. Approximately 342 vehicles affected.

LI72.20-P-054311 APR14 - 212.2 up to VIN 670422 liftgate reaches upper end position, single noise coupled with jerky movement in the left hinge area perform variant coding and normalization of liftgate control unit.

Glad I started lurking on the W212 page! This stuff is great. Looks like it covers my car too (2013 C250 with M271 Evo and 7G Plus). Glad to see I don't have any issues to deal with.

Do you think other auto manufacturers have this many bulletins and recalls? Or do they have just as many problems but don't report at the dealer level?

If it were me I would request goodwill replacement. Bulletin documents inferior seal installed at production allows for water ingress causing soundproofing to deform, MB requires modified seal to correct – one can either discuss this with service manager or have CAC (800-367-6372) open a case for review.

Does anyone have access to tsb for this one? Even though my ecu is stil tuned, the added power is lost after this service. I need to know what exactly was done. Thanks
