2014 Sport White on black
Bought 2014 E350 Sport compared to my 2012
I got a 2014 E350 sport and compared to my 2012 there isn't. The exterior, interior and gas mileage is much more superior. I drove to Santa Barbara, CA and back to San Diego and it only took less than ½ tank on ECO mode. My 2012, would of taken a almost a full tank. Plus the front end, headlights, interior design and rear end does not compare to the 2012. When I got my 2014, the only choices I had were black on black with maple wood trim or white (exterior) with black interior and zebra wood trim. When I saw the two, it was automatic to pick the white on black. Plus when I ordered there were only two white on black in SOCAL. Never owned a white car but I love the current 2014.5 color combination. I know my garage looks small but that is what I could afford in 2006 at $637K. Love the white exterior with the tint MBZ provided for free. BTW, I test drove the Infiniti Q50S Hybrid and Lexus GS350 I sport and considered because they provided a great deal(cars were full loaded) but I got a better deal on the 2014 MBZ in LA (competition is great).

Congrats on the new ride. Nothing wrong with the garage - I love a double Benz garage (but then again I am biased as my wife has a W211 )

Congrats on the new car! I also took delivery of one. Does your transmission kick from 2 to3 or 3 to 4? Also, Mind sharing the deal you got from Calabasas.

My 2014 comes with ECO mode which allows me to extend the MPG up to 32. I drove from Pasadena to Santa Barbara and then back to San Diego (389 miles) and only used barely over a 1/4 tank. It's been a week and I still have 1/4 tank left. My 2012 averages 27MPG freeway and last time I drove from San Diego to Santa Barbara and back it took a tank and a half. not sure what the city MPG for the 2014 but enjoying the enhanced MPG.

Great color choice. Enjoy the car. I really enjoy mine. I usually turn off the eco button and I still get about 23 city driving. On the highway I got 32 mpg with the eco button off.

The ECO button doesn't have any impact on highway mileage. It only controls whether the ECO start/stop feature is enabled or not. ECO start/stop is what allows the engine to stop and auto start when you come to a complete halt.

Yea.. 2014 E350 and 2012 share the exact same engine and transmission. I think OP is seeing a bit of a placebo effect.

2012 does not have ECO mode in which the engine turns off at every stop. In the trunk I have an extra battery (or something similar) which is intended to increase mileage. My 2012 and the others do not have. I know HP is the same (307 is what the sticker reports) but gas mileage is not. I drove my 2012 with a 1/2 tank for five days and need gas. My 2014 I drove for five days and I still have over a 1/4 tank. I drove almost the same roads, distances and duration. I do not drive any different in both cars except feel cooler in the 2014 because its looks so good.

The downside of *** is the extra load placed on the battery and the starter, both of which will likely suffer from a shorter operating life. For these reasons, I'm glad that my E350BT does not have ***. Of course, you can disengage the "Eco" mode in your 2014 E350 by pressing the switch !
As others have pointed out, the V6 gas engines and transmissions in the 2012 and 2014 E350 are identical.

The gas engined V6 E350 can't come close to that range. Both cars have the same size fuel tank, 80 L.

I will have to bring my vehicle in and tell them I am not getting the gas milage this 2014 gets. I really want to get that type of gas milage. which is about 80 miles to a gallon of gas. Unbelievable. Don't ever get rid of that car.

That is true, but the "Eco" mode switch is simply for disengaging the Auto Stop/Start system. *** does not increase fuel economy, but it does REDUCE engine emissions. That is its sole purpose !

MB in Germany has estimated a 7-10% reduction in in-city fuel use.
You can archive similar savings by turning your engine off at known long stop lights and similar delays. You can expect to see savings when you shut your engine off for two minutes or more.
