Been going on a while now...when you let off the throttle and decelerate/coast from 75mph-about 71mph...a high pitched humming occurs. Anyone notice this?

Definitely coming from engine bay.

2014 E350, production month - April, 1,350 miles so far; I hear the same high pitch sound around 75mph but don't know where maybe the front windshield is not sealed???

I do hear the same pitching noise barely notice it but it there only when i hit 69 mph to 73 mph

dealer test it said it so hard to trouble shoot exactly at that speed i just left it at that

I am ok with it but i hear what you guys are talking about

Never had this with either 550 nor the 63....

If you put the transmission in neutral and do the same coastdown does the sound still occur? If so, it might be some sort of wind noise/leak.

Doesn't this engine have turbo in it? If so the noise probably is from that.

High pitched sounds are going to be very subjective to each driver based on the way your ears and ear drums are built.... There was a notorious high pitch whine in the g37 and for 5 years I never heard it and others on the forums were taking their cars back and forth to and from the dealership to get it fixed to no avail....

I thought the high pitch sound may come from Mirror housing design, so folded both side and drove on the highway around 70 mph last nigh; could still hear that high pitch sound

make an appointment with dealer next week but don't expect they can find root cause... just want to have this issue on their record "In Case"...

Finally got time to let dealer look at this issue, they will try TSB# LI88.20-P-058905, hope it will fix...

Looks like TSB fixed this issue. Tried speed range between 70 -95, all good so far.

be honest, I don't know but the high pitching noise is gone (so far). I tried to look at grill/ bumper area but couldn't find any thing special.

LI88.20-P-058905 Apr14 – e63 wind noises area of bumper/engine hood between 45-80 mph, gap between trim and bumper greater than specified dimension remove front bumper and glue chrome frame to ensure stability.
