Thought the E had too much chrome.

Decided to tone it down a little

That looks great - what did you use to black out the car?

Thanks...for the grille I used black plasti dip. The grille took me 3 hours to do. It was a pain to mask everything. It better last long because i'm not doing that again. The front lip spoiler and trunk part I used gun metal grey plasti dip. The muffler area I used blackout tape.

Looks good just may have to do it again every year or so because the grille will chip when rocks hit it.

I will probably try to touch it up instead of doing it all over again.

Thanks...it was my first time messing with plasti dip. Watched youtube videos which helped a lot.

Gee, you should get a '58 Buick or a '59 Dodge.

I'm not a huge fan of chrome, but I think what comes on '14 is very tastefully done. I wouldn't change anything about it. But it is your car, so do what you like.

Actually I prefer some chrome (or brightwork since most of it is stainless steel or plastic). One thing that attracted me to the 2010 E Luxury version was the chrome grille. It looks like an M-B sedan should look.
Wonder what this does to resale or lease turn-in values. Would imagine it will be harder to sell and therefore resale is lower.
But its your car, so should look like you want it to.
