After Market Caliper Covers???
Hello all.
Quick question, after researching the web for after market caliper covers I'm not coming across much and wondering if they're out there? Simply looking to dress the car up a bit "affordably" but only finding full brake systems...
Any suggestions?
PS- I drive a 4Matic if it matters
Thanks in advance,
Derek

I painted mine ('14 E550 Coupe), and it came out pretty good. I was concerned it might come off cheap. The front looks great since it looks like a BBK. The rear looks as good as it can being so small haha. I did all the prep work and very happy with the results. Sorry, I don't know of any covers, just offering up this alternative.

What matters, I am told, is Sport or Luxury.
Sport has the drilled discs and covers already, Luxury has plain discs and no covers at all.
(I am 99% sure I am right on this. I know mine is a Luxury and there are no caliper covers at all. Not even sure there is room for them behind the Luxury wheels.)

I can't believe some of these threads. You drive a Mercedes and you want to install BOGUS brake caliper covers for $20? Covers that falsely advertise that you have a set of Brembo 6 piston brake calipers with 375mm+ brake rotors?
PLEASE don't do this to your car! This is not a ricer car, either buy the big brakes or leave yours alone.
This does not belong on a Mercedes:

A few weeks ago, I took my car to a detailer and asked if they could help clean up the look of my calipers (see 'before' picture below). They tried to clean them (not sure how hard they tried or what they used) and when I wasn't satisfied they recommended getting caliper covers. So when I saw this thread my interest was peeked. But after looking at the photos AudiA4Turbo22 posted above, I don't think this is for me. Sigh.

I think you're spot on with this, nice observation.
@AudiA4Turbo22, thanks for the comment but "to each their own". I appreciate your opinion but it's simply an inquiring. Good day sir

Can't comment on the Lux model brakes, but the calipers on the 550 Sport models do not have covers. "Mercedes Benz" is machined directly into the caliper body - as presented in the photo above.
My '05 E500 non-sport had what appears to be the same caliper, but no drilled discs.

I'll have to snap some quick pics for those curious on how it looks painted, except I have the coupe so my front brakes look different. My rear looks like the top left pic of the red caliper, minus the slotted rotors.

Thanks, will have to try that. Please post some pics. Interested in the painted look.
Also, I should have mentioned it with the pic above - mine is the 2011 Luxury Model. I think they brakes and rotors looked the same as the sport.

Thanks! They are actually a very nice gloss thick looking finish. That didn't come across in the mobile phone pictures. They will do for now until I can afford to get a full-on BBK. But man, they are pricey. I'd rather get a stage 1 tune for a fraction of the price.

I'd like to know where to get the stock caliper 'cover' (although, to me it looks more like an insert) that comes on the car. It's black and just states Mercedes Benz. The white lettering on mine has become very dis-colored over time, regardless of how much I attempt to clean them. Would even take MB part numbers if anyone has them...
