Diagnostics Cables
I am new to the MBWorld forums.
I have spent a lot of time on TDIClub and we had a google map where VAG-COM (VW diagnostics cable) owners could post their zip code and contact email. I have helped several VW owners in the Wichita area find and fix issues with their VWs.
I know that the MB Star diagnostics systems are a lot less common. I was wondering if there should be a similar directory here. I have one and would be glad to help other MB owners diagnose problems.
I will go ahead and kick this off.... here is a map.

If you have an MB Star and would be willing to support others on the forums please add a pin for yourself (hit edit and then add a pin... put your forum name and type of diagnostics system you have and an email if you are comfortable with that). The map is public so anyone can edit it.

- where did you buy?
- what should I buy?

I bought this one and it seems good.
I know shardul on here sells the C3 as well. There are a lot of choices.
I managed to troubleshoot a parking sensor and update some modules on my R320 and lower my GL320 with it so far.

I'm interested in this idea as well. I come from the Subaru community where i had a tactrix (open port 2.0 works with mitsu & subaru)
I would help log, tune and diagnose issues for many members in my area.
This is the first I've heard of the MB diagnostics cable, time to start stalking ebay & this site.

So far it seems that there are only 3 people in the US that have a diagnostics setup. I enjoy meeting other VW owners and I would love to meet some MB owners. Sharing your resources is a great way to build the local MB community.
