I knew that when I bought the car that the underbody panels were not in the best of shape. The floor panels themselves were ok, the passenger side was a bit scraped but no real issues, other than the covers themselves having some tears.
This was a pretty straightforward job, with shipping both panels were under $300.
Put the car up on ramps.
Besides a couple of plastic expansion pin anchors, these are what is used to attach the panels, 8 and 10mm sizes.
There's also a small torx screw at the rear of each panel.
I panicked for a few minutes because the new part numbers had been updated as compared to the panels I removed but they were the right parts.
Drivers side wasn't too bad but still had a couple of rips, not that visible here but from below pretty obvious.
Passenger side was pretty trashed.
Didn't take an underbody pic but the new panels fit perfect and look so much better under there. I also noticed that with the rips the old panels acted like scoops for dust and dirt.
Easy DIY.

Was there any damage to the areas above the rips? What tore the holes?
I was just searching for this the other day on the site and did not see where anyone had replaced them. I have a nice big gash/rip in my driver's side panel and the ripped part was hanging on the ground like a banana peal. I shoved it back up into the hole sice it was still partly attached. I don't remember running over anything. Where did you order them from? I need to do this.
that's great! and you went the extra mile and posted it for other members:respect!
I actually had this done under warranty when I had my E class: it was delivered with a torn piece of felt underbody........wasn't a big deal, but the dealer blushed lol
If you are reasonably careful all fasteners can be reused. But regardless none are a big deal to replace if needed. I keep a stock of plastic center pin and push fasteners on hand for quick replacement if needed.
Not if they get scraped up. Mine was trashed pretty good by PO luckily underbody was ok other than some minor scrapes.
My actually flew open in the mid section and scraped the road during high speed. I had to pull over to the side and rip off the piece that was hanging.
I got a new one on line for $136 shipped. At least all my fastener and bolts was still there. It was an easy swap!

So did mine. I don't even know why it did. I wish it was made out of thin panel of aluminum instead - so it won' rip.
I ripped mine up when I high centered on a gate rail going into a parking lot. There was a flap sticking down, I cut off the flap but there's a hole there now. Might replace it sometime in the future, but no short term plans for it.
If I may ask, where did you order the part from? I ordered a "Left Side" from Mercedes Parts Center and they emailed me back saying they canceled the order because it would cost more to ship it than what the part cost (this was after the order went through). I have a 2016 E63S AMG and would like to know where I can purchase the part at a decent price. Thanks.
FWIW, the left panel part number for my '11 wagon was 2126800509. No idea if it's actually any different or not from 2126800309, but there you go. If anyone wants to check for themselves, I used http://mbepc.net/ and found them in the Substructure section. It looks like the original part number was 2126100308, which was superseded by 2126804808, which was superseded by 2126800509. When searching eBay, it may be worthwhile to search for all versions of the part number.
Suzuki cultus, Hond city 2011, Honda city 2003, hopefully and E250 soon

I have the exact same problem, they scrapped on some speed breakers and were now hanging, but for me atm buying new ones are a hassle (300$ ☠) my plan atm is to take em off and bond it with each other, and fix back, infact, the car is one Jacks as I am writing this.
