E63 AMG 19" wheel

Been reading a lot on wheel tire combos, and finally found some 19" replicas of the E63 AMG wheel that I want.

Set sold as...
19x8.5 et45
19x9.5 et45

The rears should work great, but I'm reading that the front are going to "sit in" a little too far for my tastes... guessing some 8-10mm spacers will be in order to get it pretty flush with the front fenders.

Will the et45mm offset even fit the car without spacers?

Planning on running 255/35/19 front, and 285/30/19 rear (same size as OEM E63s do on these same wheels)

2012 W212 E350 sedan. Sport suspension. Stock 18s. Not lowered.

Thank You in advance for any feedback.

I'm curious if a 255/35/19 will rub in the front?

that tire size should not be a problem, given the correct offset, hence my question. The E63 19" wheel/tire setup uses the 255/35/19 front and a 285/30/19 rear. No issues. That combo is still a smaller diameter than most of the 20" wheel/tire combos.

I have the stock sport 18" wheels also. Do you know the offset on those? To compare.

So according to that chart, and the tire sizes on my car, I should have this setup:

18x8.5 et48 245/40R18
18x9.0 et54 265/35R18

I'll be rotating the tires myself this coming weekend and will confirm when I take off the wheels.

I didn't go to my manual but I believe my 18" stock wheels are 48 mm offset and my 45 mm winter rims fit fine.
I used 17" for my winters.

In the manual you will find a fair number of combos of wheel sizes including BA (both axles) FA and RA etc.
I get a bit twitchy when folks talk about wider wheels, bigger diameters etc. because I tend to think the engineers who set up the suspensions spec'd the wheels and tires for a reason.

I want to run 255/40/19 or 255/35/19 all the way around so I can rotate the tires. What would be best positive offset for 19x8.5" rims?

You know I am having great difficulty understanding just what you are trying to achieve so I ran some numbers.
From the stock size of 8.5J x18 et48 wheel to got to a 9.5 x 19 J et45 wheel you will 10 mm less inner clearance. To maintain the same clearance you need a 35 mm offset so spacers and longer bolts would be required.
From 8.5 to 9.0 you will have 3mm less inboard clearance and I know this works OK with out spacers as my winters are 45 mm vs 48 on my summers.
The other issue worth considering is ride and handling. Yes fancy wells look nice and all that when the car is standing still but unless your car is a show car is it worth it.
The wall height is part of the suspension. Believe it or not the rideon my winters which 17s is better than the summer 18s and the handling is every bit as good.
On 19's you will have very short wall height, the ride will be harder, it will tram line and the rims are more as risk of damage.
Your current tire and wheel combo looks right according to my 2011 manual but in you comments re the wheels and car these allegedly came off the manual shows 37 and 52 mm offset FA and BA respectively not 45.

Based on airmousam's website information. Factory AMG is
19x8.5 et48 wheels with 245/35/19 tires
19x9.5 et48 wheels with 275/30/19 tires

And you want
19x8.5 et45 wheels with 255/35/19 tires
19x9.5 et45 wheels with 285/30/19 tires.

The manual lists wheel/tires as
19x9.0 et37 wheels with 255/35/19 tires
19x9.5 et52 wheels with 285/30/19 tires

The numbers look pretty close. Should work fine, but ya never really know till you try.

rediesel, did you read my post?
I crunched numbers on 1010.Tire's wheel comparator and with a 9.5 inch wide et45 he is going to lose 10 mm of inside clearance over the 8.5 which is a lot when turning at full radius lock if the 19" fit and clear the wheel wells.
I would hate for him to buy them based on your views only to find they don't fit correctly and of course the tram lining and loss of ride comfort is a personal choice.
I am gone on this thread.
All the necessary info is available on the web and in his owner's manual and I have even crunched number for him. I believe he is fixated on getting these wheels which I can understand so if he does I suggest he take them to a reputable tire shop, they can mount the tires, check the fit and then adjust with spacers etc. to make them work.

I would agree with this assessment - he is/was looking for 8.5s up front at et 45 NOT 9.5s upfront.

So if the manual list 9.0" at et 37...then 8.5" would net .25" inboard net in each direction toward the mounting location eg hub - That is 6.35mm meaning at 8.5" wheel would work at 43.35mm

Ofcourse, all this is with the proper tire width and sidewall - I would match the 245s on a 8.5" wheel to maintain the same tracking and only increasing rolling diameter by 1".

I have custom wheels on all my cars and while the breakout above is my guess, I'm currently looking at Vossen's with similar specs. If a 9.5" wheel then I would certainly move out by 12mm which is why a 19x9.5 wheel seems to work perfectly at 36mm...well really 35mm is what I've seen bounce around due to the common manufacturer ET

Older post I know but when running a forum search I found it - BTW any chance the OP got the wheels?
