Not really... If he acquired car in 2012 then it's already nearing 2.5 to 3 years of use. About 12-15k miles a year

I would only get this car if it had pristine service records, clean carfax of course and visual inspection also no evidence of body work and EXTENDED WARRANTY

Look at the in service date in the service book.
As others have noted, if it went into service in the fall of 2012 or even January 2013, it has two years of running.
According to the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), the average American driver logs 13,476 miles each year with men driving 16500 annually and women about 10,000 so the mileage looks pretty average assuming at least 24 months in service.

According to the Carfax, it went in service in December of 2012.

That's not excessive mileage if it's mainly highway.

The 2012 CPO (CPO warrantee thru 12/2017 + 2 years free MB service) I just bought from a dealer had 30000 on it, and cost a couple grand less than that one. Mine also has distronic. Car was extremely clean, and had a clean carfax (all dealer sold CPO must have this I beleive), but fact my salesman also sold the car new to a loyal customer (buys 2 benz every 2 years) and had all service done there was a nice selling point.
