As often as I can

I use Modesta and Car Pro ceramic products to preserve my paint coating. I pressure rinse/wash with a foam cannon.

Touchless, about once a week (or every other week if too cold) in Winter and less often in other seasons, just depending on how dirty it looks. I only took delivery 2 months ago or so, and in the Summer, I'll probably wash/wax by hand, time permitting, or take it to get detailed.

Every week, hand-wash only, I don't care for the auto car washes.

When I first got it I clay-barred the surface, you won't believe how rough your paint gets over time, even if you wax it. Take off the surface contaminants, feels like glass.

I use McGuiar's Gold for rims/wheels, Optimum No-Rinse for the rest of the car, Aerospace 303 cleaner and protectant for interior, Collinite 845 to wax.
After each wash, I use Wet Paint Glaze detailer to quickly go over the car as an in-between-waxing gloss enhancer. All exterior lighting lenses get the wax treatment as well.

All this sounds like a lot of time but the regular weekly wash takes about an hour.

My wife drives the E most of the time. Whenever it looks dirty, I take it to the car wash. The SLK is the only car that get hand washed. (2001 with less than 20K miles)

Once a week, whether it needs it or not. 2 bucket method at home, or a touchless car wash, never use a traditional car wash, and instruct the dealer to not wash my car after service. I have Quartz finest ceramic coating making it very easy to wash and not needing wax. If washing at home I follow up with Adams detailer spray.

Cquartz is awesome stuff, tough to beat the finish...here's my last E

Depends on if its driven. Usually after about 10 days of driving which may be as much as a month between washes since it is parked in a garage and covered with a car cover when in the garage. It does not get driven if it rains etc. I use turtle wax brand car wash in the orange jug.

Once a week in the spring through fall with quick detailer wipe downs in between. Ditto for my F-150.

One of my first jobs in high school was auto detailing... Sometimes I wonder how much time I'd save in my life had I not developed an OCD cleanliness standard...

I'll wash it once a week regardless of whether it needs it or not and may go up to twice. I've got Tribos coating on mine so washing it is a breeze.

About 1x per week, touchless car wash. Northern NJ is blessed with the best, the best, no, really, the best car washes in the country . . . So, inside and out once a week.

Used to wash and wax it every couple of months with McGuiars products, but no longer. Now take it to car wash every few months and get the exterior wash and wax. Looks just as good as when I did it myself.
It's the conveyor type with the cloths hanging down.
I always look at other cars coming out while there and amazed at number of older black cars that look great.
I use Vinylex by Lexol on the MBTex and the rest of the plastics and vinyl inside. Also, I do my on tire treatments as the stuff at car wash tends to fling onto car as I drive off.

In average once a week in an automatic washer with hanging strips and brushes. Sometimes touchless water spray in between for loose dirt / dust.

Every week at least. Touchless if I cannot hand wash.
I use Maguires stuff for the wash and wax.
The club sponsered a washing and detailing seminar at a highly respected detailer in Victoria in 2013.
First step, pressure wash.
Hand wash with a quality auto soap. Kitchen and laundry soaps will strip the wax. Rinse
Using a detailer claybar to clean the paint a couple of times a year. Amazing what accumulates in the paint.
After any wash remove the water with a California Squeege and dry with a chamois either natural or artificial.
Wax with a good Carnuba wax.
Of course never in the sun.
Both cars look great.

Mine is a black 2010. Have used the touchless wash for most of it's life. Now not so happy with that. When I wash at home I use the 3 bucket method and dry with an air blower. Never touch it with a cloth. I am trying to preserve that black finish for as long as possible.

Take a look at some of the coatings - it might help a bit.

I try to wash my car about every two weeks or so. It all depends on the weather and how dirty the car is.

Touchless car wash at least once a week and get the Merc fully detailed inside and out twice a year. I garage my car and use the California car duster every day when I pull the car out of the garage.

Yes. The Verona guys used to own the one on Union Ave in Totowa also and it's still good. Also Ridgedale Ave in Morristown - the best. There are many others.....

I had a black CLK and since I was traveling a lot it got more than its fair share of touchless washes and wax.
I found I had to cut back on the wax as it seemed to build up and dull it.
I think you are right to hand wash. The dryer is an interesting touch.

I don't drive my regularly, Average about 5000 a year. take it to a car wash when needed. With 2 kids, I don't have time to do it myself. My Benz is white, hides a lot of swirls.
