2011 E550 - what file types for COMAND on SD card?
We have a 2011 E550 and were wondering if the PCMCIA supports SD cards larger than 2GB / if there's a limit?
What about file types? Are movies playable or music only?

Not all SD memory cards and storage
media are designed for the temperatures
which may be reached in the vehicle.
Due to the wide range of SD memory cards
available on the market, playback cannot
be guaranteed for all brands of SD memory
card. Memory cards with over 4 GB of
storage capacity are not recommended.
X Push the SD memory card into the slot.
The end with the contact must point
towards the slot.
COMAND loads the memory card and
displays the message Reading Memory
Card. If no MP3 tracks can be found, a
message will be displayed.

Thanks!
Interesting, so 4GB is the limit? I feel I've read on this forum and others 2GB is the max for vehicles older than 2012.
I cant find any info on video files on SD cards and what / if any video file types are supported.

MBWorld Fanatic!
I use a 16 gig sd card in a pcmcia adapter in the slot. No problems at all. Mp3 recordings at 320k.
