Need Advice: E350 or E400?
Need Advice: E350 or E400?
With both kids off to college, we're looking to trade in our 2012 Mercedes ML350 4Matic for a 2015 E350.
But saw the E400 on the dealer lot, although base price is $10K more, but it includes the Premium 1 package, leather seating, bi-turbo V6, & a few other upgrades. So it's maybe only a few grand more, but we sorta think it's a good value to have some extra power/hp.
Thoughts?
Think it's worth it?

From what I read, after the option packs are discounted out of the price, the e400 is only about $2500 more. For that, you're getting somewhat more horsepower but also noticeably more torque. I think it's probably worth the value, especially in a sedan if you drive at all sportingly.
I would go with the 400, the 350 i found felt underpowered in the E class. Given the cost difference is only a few grand I would go for it. As said above the resale will also be better. The engine in the 350 is enough in the c-class but not enough power for the E even if you don't really push the car I found.

Got a great price on the new E400 (10K off) & great price on ML350 trade in (high end of blue book pricing)...
Just came back from 600 miles interstate trip, awesome drive!
Now almost to the 1000 mile break-in period...

msrp was 64,850
bought at 54,650, which was 3500 off for USAA + 6700 off from dealer to offset for other taxes & bs fees. Anyways, I negociated for fixed drive out price, & didn't care for what selling price was...

Thanks. That explains fantastic 15% off. Still dealer's 10% off for us regular folks is still a great deal. Enjoy.
