I have a 2015 S550 and the idiots in their Ivory Towers decided to make that truly horrid thing standard equipment. IMO it completely changes the look of the car on any color other than black. I absolutely HATE that frigging thing. It creaks & squeaks and should it happen to shatter, guess what? That's considered glass breakage and the piece of sh-t isn't covered under the warranty. The Panorama Roof is the frigging kiss of death, but hey, that's just me.

I like my Pano roof. It's different. It's bigger than a std sunroof. The black roof on my Iridium ext looks good, too.
On the other side of the coin, it takes too much time to open the roof because I have to open the motorized screen first. Furthermore, I can't tilt the roof open while keeping the sunscreen closed (kinda like keeping a non-motorized, old school sliding cover partially open with the roof tilted to increase airflow in the cabin without letting in much light).
My Pano occasionally creaks, but it doesn't bother me. A catastrophic glass shattering event crosses my mind from time to time, but then I have a drink and that ugly thought goes away.
For the record, I voted FOR the Pano roof because the question was independent of price. When dollars and cents are considered, I would NOT be willing to spend $11-13K (much less $5K) for it. Who would do a thing like that?!

Regular;
Cheaper, Matches paint job, I dont often carry rear passengers whose perfect vision of the sky above me is my concern AND ive heard it is noisier when driving on the fwy with it open versus the regular.
Pano is beautiful (with the right color combo, as some people said); I like magic sky control better =D

E 300 AMG-Line diesel-Hybrid - 2021
love the pano, but on every merc (*) I owned so far, the pano would not close completely
or re-open by itself on hot days.
A real fix has still not been found...
