Bad day...er.. I mean month, at the dealership
Awhile back I had a bad experience at the BMW dealer and that drove me back to MB. I previously had really good treatment and my local MB dealer (We only have one MB dealer in OKC.) so I decided it was time to go back to Benz (even though I buy used)
So I had a minor oil drip and a software update due on my E350 so I made an appointment and took it in to my dealer on June 2. I took their shuttle home expecting to get the car back the next day. Following day I'm told it needs a rear main seal -need to order it and should be done Thursday, maybe Friday at the latest. Friday I check on it and they tell me to come get a loaner car (brand new GLK 250 diesel pulled off the lot to put into service so Im the first driver)
Tuesday they tell me its causing them more trouble than expected. Wednesday they say they need another seal and it should be done Thursday. Today (Friday) I get a call saying it's done......BUT..
THE HYDRAULIC LIFT GAVE OUT ON ONE SIDE TILTING MY CAR TO ONE SIDE WHERE IT HIT AGAINST A TRANSMISSION JACK DAMAGING THE FRONT LEFT FENDER.

They said that Monday a bodyshop will pick up the car and take it to fix it and to expect another week or more for repair. I have concerns about matching the pearlcoat paint but I know its a good (independent) shop.
Holy crap, it was just a couple drops on the garage floor. I've replaced a rear main seal in a Jeep in about 6 hours. I'm now looking at 3-4 weeks total without my car for what should have been a simple repair and now my car is damaged.
I'm just venting. I know it will be fixed eventually. I'm thankful I have a loaner car (even if the GLK is really ugly). Just a bit frustrated at my return to MB.

This is why I learned to fix my own stuff and stay away from service departments when possible but since this was warranty repair work and I bought an extended warranty, then I need to have a continued relationship with this dealer.
There was the Toyota dealer that put multiple dents in my new Sequoia back door and tried to tell me it was all dented up when I brought it in.
There was the BMW dealer that tried to tell me both turbos were out on a 40000 mile 335i $4000) and they were positive it wasn't a known wastegate issue the qualified for extended warranty, even though they never actually removed and looked at the turbos (turned out to be high pressure fuel pump - also under warranty but had fixed elsewhere)
There was the local tire store that forgot to tighten lugnuts on my Avalanche which lost a wheel 100 yards from the tire store on a test drive (where they panicked and abandoned it in the roadway to go back to the store)
Another tire store damaged the brand new wheels on my A4
Window tint installer shorted out all the front door speakers in the Eclass.
Only place that hasn't been a problem is the VW dealer where I take my Audi since the Audi dealer is almost an hour away

Unfortunately for you it doesn't sound like there are many options in town for service. Accidents happen but you've had more than your fair share.
