2011 E550 Sedan
waiting for the jane hancock
I test drove an e350 and it was the opposite felling of driving on pillows so today I signed my half on a P&S (tomorrow the wife's) for a 2011 e550 with p1/p2 package with AMG wheels.
It was a former lease car @ 35k miles, the owner of the dealership used it as his daily driver (and to the auction) adding another 2200 miles. I walked away at $33,000 + a 4 year warranty for another $2,800, which mirrors the factory warranty. Not to mention a better rate from the dealer's bank then my own credit union.
Here are some of the specs - Premium 2 Package, Rear Deck Spoiler, Parktronic, Split Folding Rear Seats, Sport Package with AMG Wheels, Panorama Sunroof, Drive-Dynamic Multicontour Drivers Seat, Driver Assist Package, Distronic, Original MSRP $74,605,
Closest I could find in e550's were either 2 doors, higher mileage and sans panoramic roof which I really wanted regardless engine size..
I'm new to this forum, what do you say fellow w212's? Good deal?

Congrats! I know you wrote that the pano roof was more important than the engine size, but you're going to fall in love with extra torque from the V8.
By the way, are these wheels newer than the car? Seems to me '10 use a similar looking 6-spoke wheel. I thought '11 did, too. Regardless, these are the better looking of the two in my humble opinion. (And, yes, the even newer / current 5-spoke Merc wheels look better still. Damn progress!)
EDIT: I did a quick Google image search and it appears I was wrong (yet again). These wheels look like they're appropriate for '11. The 6-spoke wheels were in '10.
EDIT rev 2.0: '11 has a 5.5l NA

Congrats and welcome to the world of the best highway car on the planet. Just did another 350 mile trip yesterday. Rock solid and fast.
