Hey fellas, so far so good! So at first I didn't like my pano roof as here in sunny Florida it allow a lot of light in the interior, making it really hot even with the micro shade closed. So I decided to limo tint (5%) all the pano roof and it looks great, as now I don't have to even close the shade, leave it open all the time.
It's been getting really hot in Fl, and so far so good!
I also had installed a clear bra on all the front bumper, hood, side panels, a-pillars, mirrors and what a hell of a job these guys did!! practically invisible

Tinting the pano roof is great for keeping the light levels and heat down in full sun, but I think it keeps out too much light in any other situation.

Report back if/when the sunroof cracks
On a sunroof, the most careful installers will only recommend a light tint or a clear ceramic like llumar air 80
Going very dark on the sunroof greatly increases the internal stress and likelihood for failure
I'm not saying it will happen, but when it has happened, the roof was tinted way too dark

I'd like to see pics of this as well. Typically the micro shade is more than enough for me. I wonder if at night it would be too dark for you. I like the view without the micro shade when night driving.

I did the same on my pano over a year ago with 5% limo. No issues at all. Will need to look for the pictures I took. It helps with heat, etc but doesn't make it that much noticeably darker inside in my opinion. I still keep shade closed in summer to avoid damage to leather and fading burl, etc.

Closing the shade is even worse - again, if you're in hot areas with dark tint

Surprised your installer didn't suggest air 80 for the panoOriginally Posted by bambino86

See the link, air 80 blocks 43% heat while 5% blocks 60% ... difference isn't as large as most would think

It's been a solid month and so far so good, no problems and it's been really hot. I like the fact that I can leave the shade open all the time and it doesn't get that hot inside. It's also garaged at home and at work so all is good Originally Posted by jenz

The edges of the clear bra at the top of the hood are seamless.
I put a clear bra across the entire front to the windshield, mirrors, etc. also. I thought about tinting the pano, but with just 23 days > 100 degrees here in central CA, I'm not seeing the need.
