E250 Bluetec - mpg?

E250 4M highway mileage
On a recent 800 km trip, including a long climb up through high mountain passes, my E250BT4M averaged 47 mpg (imp.), cruising between 120-140 kph. On more level stretches, the car easily attains 50+mpg (imp.) or 5.8 L/100.

Thanks, if you can remember, what was your average speed? Seems like my S350 would get similar mileage using IMP gallons as the owners in Europe are reporting mpg numbers in the 40's.

I have now owned my 2014 E250. Got just about a very enjoyable 40k miles on the car.
So far since the day I drove it off the lot in May 2014. My entire overall mileage is 40.154.
This has been figured out via pumped fuel amount and mileage, not via the onboard system.
I seen single day runs over 52mpg running around 68mph average on short runs of 100 miles or less via the onboard system. I seen short 500 mile trips running around 79mph (Utah - 80mph is legal ) around 48mpg via the onboard system.

Wow, that is very good. I gotta take my car out for a long drive to see what it tops our at for mpg at speed.. I have gotten in the high 30s on the MPG on short runs (less than 150 miles).

Just some photos I took of the computer mileage on a short trip (346 miles ave of 56mph commuting miles) and a daily commute (53 miles mostly interstate, part of one way run) Both taken at the same time this Spring.

Yes indeed. And please keep in mind, that the station wagon has a worse coefficient of drag than the sedan. Therefore the sedan might even get close to 245 or even 250 km/h.

I hope to pick up an E250 in a few days. Has anyone Light swapped the wheels for a stagger setup? I know the mileage will drop, but I'm used to the look! 18's are my max size; my wife will drive it most of the time.

we get about 27 to 30 mpg. the daily commute is 10 miles each way. Also lots and lots of 1 to 2 mile jaunts through out the day in both medium local and high way traffic up and down hills with no conscious effort to save gas. (basically, Mrs. MellonC drives this car. She either doesn't realize that cars can coast on downhill or feels uncomfortable not pressing either the gas or the brake while driving).

We had a 2012 E350 Bluetec and it was about 25 mpg average. Switching to E250 was big bonus I get 45 mpg average for the same daily commute with all wheel drive
