V6 Exhaust Upgrade under $1,000 for Sedan 2012/2013
Any recommendations to get a deeper sound out of a V6 2012/2013 for under $1000-$1500. For a V6 I cant imagine spending over 2k for an exhaust, if a V8 then its worth it. Simply looking to add some sound and maybe a little less back pressure on a 2012/2013 V6. Some options I have spent hours reading are;
Any, ANY info or debate on these below would be appreciated. There isn't one central post with all this info. Maybe we can start a discussion.

You aren't going to get an axle back exhaust for a grand. Meisterschaft in my opion is the best regardless of price and it happens to be one of the most affordable.
For a thousand dollars you can do any of the following...
1) remove the mufflers and replace with a straight pipe
2) replace your mufflers with either Borla (call them to get the right muffler for your vehicle) or Flowmaster 40s (can get on Amazon). Both will sound better than Magnaflow.
3) Changing the tips is not going to do anything other than styling.
4) Yes, you can go to a quality exhaust shop near where you live and be able to delete the cats and resonator and stay within your budget. As a matter of fact you can do 1&4 or 2&4 and remain under budget.
Best of luck!

So replacing just the muffler with a borla or flowmaster(which of them sounds better?) is that enough to change sound? Removing the cats and resonator sounds like I may be welcoming drone and wraspy sound.. Which I don't want. I'm going to try to find soundclips. Thanks for your Input TONYCPA

Meistershaft is under 2k maybe? Installed it will be right around $2,000
So replacing just the muffler with a borla or flowmaster(which of them sounds better?) is that enough to change sound? Without doubt. Listen to each and make up your own mind. Who cares what everyone else thinks. I gave you the names of two very popular mufflers. Each of those companies are huge sellers.
Welcome.
