I would assume it's fairly simply if you have the right equipment. I got the L shaped lights with the AMG Sports package and I love them. I agree... it's funny to me that between the nicer interior and bigger engine of the E550... one of my favorite things is those lights lol
At night it looks like a person eyebrows when they're pissed off. That or a Sesame Street character....sorry I have a 2 year old and I watch it constantly with her

My guess is it is not a simple swap. The panels in the bumper cover are not the same and the electrics different because the lights are different.

I actually bought the 2011 just for the "eyebrows" but mine looks more like a "frown" sort of funny IMO.
