need help with navigation

Does anyone know what the 5 batteries that are displayed on the upper Right corner of the navigation are for. Mine only lights up one battery out of 5. Could this be the problem why the navigation has the wrong position of the car?

I don't think those are "batteries." I think they are some sort of signal strength indicator, but I thought they were indicating cell phone signal. Do you have a phone linked to the car? If so, check and see if they agree. If not, then I guess the bar indicator is for something else - maybe for satellite signal for GPS.

Cell phone link shows full strength But navigation shows me 10 miles from where I am. It must be the GPS strength which would explain why it shows me in the wrong place. Thanks. I have an appointment with dealer for Monday hopefully they can fix it. This is the 3rd time this has happened

Nope, those are cel phone signal strength, not GPS signal strength.

Hopefully the dealer will sort it all out.

Yes, those are your cell phone bars and will fluctuate as you drive around. If you go to"full screen" on the Navi, you will see the bars move down into the right corner, but they are still there to show you your signal strength. Hope you get the positioning issue resolved. That is weird.

I always assumed it was for the cell phone as well. I've never heard of a GPS positioning issue before. You said it's the 3rd time, what was the work around that corrected it the first 2 times?

Brought car into different Mercedes Benz dealer they said navigation had 2 up grades that they installed. Still did not work correctly. They said the GPS antenna on roof was bad. They have to order the part then they have to pull back the liner on roof and they have to paint the new antenna to match color of car. They said they will have car for about 2 or 3 days. They said they would contact me when part comes in. oh well car has only 7,000 miles on it now. I wonder how many other things would go wrong with the car if I drove it a lot. The Best or nothing.
