2013 E350 Sport and H&R Springs

Hello Everyone,

I'm a new member on the forum and a new Mercedes E350 owner. I'm looking for some advice. I purchased my 13 E350 Sport about 3 weeks ago and got around to changing the wheels to Rohana RC7 20". After having the wheels put on, the car just sits too high. I decided to order H&R springs today and now I'm questioning my decision. Forgive me If I use the wrong words here, I'm new to springs, tires wheels etc. I noticed a lot of people are running 245/30 or 275/30 front/rear and have no issues with rubbing. However, the current set up I have is Hankook EVO V12 245/35 front and 275/30 rear and wheels are 20x9 front and 20x10 rear. Will this setup be a issue with H&R Springs? My goal is to get minimum tire gap without needing to roll my fenders.

I should of asked for some help before placing the order, but its still not to late to make changes, any advice at this point is appreciated.

Thanks

Few pictures of my car now.

Welcome. I have the same specs. ( wheel and tires ) on my old 2011 E350 also with the sport package. The only difference is the wheels I had in them was Vossent CVTs with H&R sport springs. This is what your car will look like.

No rubbing and it takes corner allot better.

Good luck.

welcome! your car looks good! itll look and handle better with the lowering springs. you cant roll the fenders but you can push it out if you need to although you wont have to coz i reckon youre fine with your current set up. post pics after.

Thank you. Your car looks great. I noticed a difference in handling after switching from stock wheels, it feels much better. I cant wait to see how much better it will get.

Thank you. Springs are out for delivey today and I'm set to have it done on Friday. I'll post new pictures (hopefully some better quality pics). These pictures were sent to me before seeing the car and I didnt know how i felt about it until I saw the car in person. It looked much better in person.

wouldnt hurt with a lil tlc on the paint job, probably a good detail to bring back the luster on that black color.

It really needs it. The dealership I got the car from gave it a "used car lot detail" pretty much glazed the car to hide the swirls and light scratches. I'm waiting to order some new pads for the flex and took a few days off from work this month. planning on spending 2 days for a full paint correction.

Thank you. Your car's steering will respond better lowered not to mentioned the aggressive look to match. My E350 is long gone and got the same wheels on my E63. Plan on lowering it with the KW Has kit with lowering link soon. Here are some photos without being lower yet.

Something to consider. Rather than taking a few days off work, use that money to get a full restoration detail including clay bar. You will thank yourself ( unless your a detailer yourself of course ). Good luck.

Taking a couple of paid days off to detail is like therapy for me lol. It usually takes me 16 hours total but that's because I take my time and make sure it's done right. When your done, the car looks better then the day it left the factory. This might sound weird bit during my car hunt, I decided to go with Mercedes because of the black paint, IMO no one does black better then Mercedes.

Here are a few pictures of cars I did for family and friend. I believe the cars are 08 Mercedes. 09 lexus and 01 towncar. The Mercedes and Lexus both were neglected and hadn't seen a car wash in atleast a year.

Wow. Impressive. I can understand sense of accomplishment. I cant do 16 hours of detailing though, but it's defiantly a hobby. Good luck.
