SD Cards

I just picked up a Sandisk 64 SDHC Card. I stuck it in my laptop...threw on about 50 Gig of music, took it out to the car.....and it works...album art, folders...all good. I didn't even have to format the disk.

Now here whats confusing this newbie....when I stated playing the song, I couldn't figure out how to stop the song...or pause it for that matter. I keep thinking there was a button right in front of me that I needed to "click" to make this happen....nope...or I'm just blind.
I found the only way to stop the music from playing was to leave the memory card function and go somewhere else like Sat radio or am fm.

Am I missing something?

Hit the mute button. That's basically pause.

By the way, how many songs are on your 64GB SDHC and what year E are you driving? I've been toying with getting a 64-156GB card, but thought that I read +2012 E's can only recognize 4K songs. Thanks for sharing (and being an awesome guinea pig)!

Happy holidays

Can someone explain why MB forces you to use an SD card if you want to save a personal POI on the Nav system, when we have all sorts of free HD space?

Poor engineering, If you ask me.

I hear they are going completely Garmin in the next few years....so I suspect a big change for the better in reference to comand.

HUGE issues with my GPS system(W205). Sometimes it doesn't find streets, or house numbers, or business addresses. Points of Interests thing is useless, since it shows locations that are usually tens of kilometers away (although there are locations nearer). It sends you to closed roads, private roads, un-passable roads, etc. Just absolutely horrendous system.

Sounds like your system needs to be calibrated.

Not sure about Garmin as MB, BMW and AUDI together bought the NOKIA HERE map system. This happened just 2-3 weeks ago.

Isn't Nokia heremaps the same as Navteq (which BTW powers the Garmin). So I think it may be true that MB is going the Garmin route.
