Just to add IMO I would never debadge my car. There are way to many E350s running around and I see many 350 owners debadge it to camo what they really are driving. Only reason I would do it is to be a sleeper but since I don't street race often, there is no reason to be a sleeper.

Keep your badges on if it suits you. No need to camo what you really have. Adding the sport really doesn't signify much other then it's a sporty kind of car which is very open ended.

Don't listen nobody , this SPORT badge is awesome, i am thinking about ordering few of these myself !
I looked into that but BRABUS Usually puts their name on the top left, I would have to remove the E350 and relocated it to the other side

I was trying to go for an OEM look and yeah I agree I wish it was a Little-bit bigger similar to the size of the of the E350 or 4Matic etc, to bad these badges were designed to fit on the front fenders of the car. Also the car came with the sport package so I didnt see the harm.

I think the sport badge belongs on the front fenders, where mine had the Blue Efficiency badges that I took off.

I'm debating debaging my E550 4Matic, because it's a lot of badges, but that's the only way anyone can even tell I have a V8 under the hood instead of a 350. I would definitely de-badge a 350 though. Also considering removing the rear badges and getting the V8biturbo on the fenders. Decisions, decisions.

If you want something to make it look better, then definitely do the conversion on the fog lights to 2012 style bar LED DRLs. Or at least the hockey sticks, but the round style are the worst look IMO.

Yeah I like those fog lights more, do you know where I can source a conversion kit?

I wonder how many here know the background of debadging.

Following Germany's economic miracle (aka Marshall Plan), lots of people were able to buy cars - but most could only afford the base version. Back then, a 180, 190 or 220 had only minor trim bits to identify the car externally - usually more chrome trim - and the other differences were the engine and interior.

Accordingly, those people that bought the base engines would debadge them in order to appear as if they might have a larger engine.

Back then of course, the badges were riveted on and the factory would have a "debadge" option costing a couple of hundred D-Marks to deliver the car without badges. The "debadge" option wasn't available with the larger engines. Today, MB and BMW still have the debadge option - but now it is at no cost.

Of course the Germans loved their option badges with cars sporting "Automatik" or "Einspritz" (injection) and so forth.

What this really means that cars were debadged originally to hide the fact that they were a base model..

This kit says it fits sedans with sport package. Although, I thought that if you had the sports package, then you had the hockey sticks, not the roundys.

Interesting factoid, but I doubt many people know this history, they just do it because they like the look better.

I thought soo too. but apparently the hockey sticks was either an option or came out in later models of the car.

I prefer the hockey sticks or the ones that go across the top of the opening. I couldnt find a set of those for sale with the plastic grill/mesh.

My car was ordered with the factory debadge option. Actually makes for a clean look with the Luna Blue color.

Did they at least give you the badge in case you change your mind later?
