Smartkey remote starter latest version
I have a Mid City Engineering remote starter system for sale.
This was installed in my 2010 E550 with push button start in October and it worked perfectly. I sold the car a week ago so I removed it. Here is a picture of the unit and a video of it turning the car on and off.

Instructions included for installation which I did myself.

Made in July of 2015 (sticker on unit), this is the latest version.

The unit is $800 brand new. Taking best offer.

What's the range on this? Do you have to be close to the car to start it?

Also, does this include compustar drone?

The range is as far as your Mercedes fob since it uses the Hazard button on the remote to start the car.

My sale does not include a Compustar drone which would extend the range by working over the internet. You can buy that piece separately and I will price my sale accordingly knowing you have an additional piece you need to buy.

According the the sticker on the unit, it covers the following models. I looked up the years and type after the model number to make it easier.

W221 - 2005 - 2013 S Class
W216 - 2007 - 2014 CL
W204 - 2008 - 2014 C-Class
W212 - 2010 - present E-Class Sedan
W207 - 2010 - present E-Class Coupe

It should since that's a W212 and this covers W212. I emailed the manufacturer to find out for sure.

I just asked the manufacturer and they told me it would not work with teh 2015/2016 E400.
