Tailgate chrome strip removal advice
Hi guys, can somebody please outline what needs to be done in order to remove the chrome strip from the tail gate on this beautiful car?
I'm going to attempt it tomorrow but wondering how tricky it might be.

im assuming it would have holes in it or an empty line across your boot when you take that chrome strip out. why not just wrap it or dip it? thats what i did.

lol yeah no, that's exactly what i want to do - wrap it
I tried today and am not happy with the finish up close because i couldn't get the film to get around the corners and edges without standing up and it just looks a bit rubbish.
That being said, the overall look of having it match the colour of the car is great. Mind you, my rear is also now fully debadged also (even the MB star is gone) and it looks so so good. I'll post pics soon once I've done the tailgate and finished my tails slightly darker too.

Yeah it has three holes behind it. It's something you will want your bodyshop to fill and paint afterwards, but it looks great when done.
I do however miss my AMG badge at the back...i worked hard for that...and in the name of rice, i have taken it off
