All 4 AMG rims bent

All 4 AMG rims bent
So after a month of "helicopter noise" coming from my car at speeds from 30 - 70 mph I decided to bring it to Mercedes of Buffalo to get it checked out along side of A service.
Their response was ALL 4 rims are bent![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
To straighten them it would be $250 apiece
The salesman blames it on the bad roads when I baby the S#^& out of my car so thats not possible
after googling the problem i read thats it common with those AMG rims so why would I even waste money getting them fixed especially in a bad weather city like Buffalo.
What my main question is since factory warranty doesn't cover this issue is their anything I can do about this? thanks

It's not impossible to have 4 bent, but 250/each to straighten is too expensive (I think $50-100 is appropriate especially since you are getting 4 done). Are you on 18"s? Might look for a set of 17" or 16" if roads are that bad.

I have similar issue with the AMG rims I have. Previous owner bent up at least 2 of the 4 and I have curb rash on all four. I'd say speeds of 40-75 is when it's really noticeable that they are bent. I got a deal at 100 per rim to fix curb rash and fix if they're are bent. 250 a piece seems like to much.

Bent Rims
I had the same thing with my CLS 550. $250 a rim is too high, I found a place in Dallas for $125 each . I just asked the service department at Mercedes where they took the car to have them straightened and then I took the car directly to them.

My stealership reported that all 4 of mine are bent as well (18" non-AMG, Sport wheels). My neighbor had a Boxster (and many Porsches and Audis before it) and they all had problems with soft wheels that are prone to bending (he attributed it to German engineering)... such to the point where he's on a first-name basis with the owner of a local wheel repair shop. The stealership then quoted $175 per wheel to fix, which I thought was still ridiculous - so yes, $250 each is astronomical.
My solution: I bought aftermarket wheels and use the 18's for winter wheels LOL... I might get them fixed at some point, but it's not a priority since I don't often go over 70mph (when it starts to get noticeable) and am used to driving even slower thanks to the new wheels

Just to add in case your not aware OP. Generally it takes anywhere from 24-48 hours for it to be done (Rims). So plan ahead if you only have one DD.

Dealer just outsources rim repairs - and marks up the fees handsomely, so I'd recommend going straight to a wheel repair shop in your area...who will be able to check the straightness of each wheel, and give you a much better price for sure.

Why did you even bother with a sport package base V6 in buffalo to begin with? Wheels like that are only suitable below the frost line and outside of major cities.

I mean... you live in Buffalo and are running low profile tires on a large wheel... what did you expect? Materials can't overcome physics, and the desire to have flashy wheels means that the average american consumer will end up with bent wheels.

I ran 18" wheels for a year.. when my Mechanic told me a few were bent, I "downgraded" to the 17" wheels that come standard on a 4-matic. Haven't had any issues since, and the ride is better.
