Grinding sound coming from brakes

Hi guys. I have the type of job where I'm forced to park my car for extended periods of time. I just bought my car in December of last and am having a blast with it.
My car sat from March 6th till this morning. It started fine because I had a trickle charger on it, but once I drove off and came to a stop sign, the brakes felt like something was on the rotors causing it to grind..I thought after a few hard stops that it would be fine...no dice...wonder what it could be?

Thanks

Think rust on the rotors.

I thought the same thing, but I've been driving in stop an go traffic all morning....same thing. When I bought the car last december, they did say they did a brake job on it. Hope it's warranted. Guess I'll find out Monday.
Thanks

I have the same sound. When I'm just about to come to a complete stop I heard the grinding sound. Breaks were checked out and they are fine. Keep us updated when you go in on Monday. Good luck.

lol....well I found my problem. Brake pads. Funny thing though...when I bought the car, they said they just did a brake job. Looks like they changed the rear pads but since the front pads were just barely passable, and instead of changing them, they let them pass.
So when the service guy said I need front brakes, I'm like "cool, but I not paying for them" 3 hour later, I'm driving out with new brakes...no charge.

So what did you get?

Just new pads or the whole works?

I had this same issue and they replaced rotor and pads and a week later I'm getting the same damn grinding noise. I'm looking to replace everything with R1 Concepts rotors and pads very soon.

I was going to ask what the part numbers were for those, but then I looked up 2012 (instead of 2013) and found them. I had the Premier Series on my G37 and loved them! Let us know what you think of those.

Are brake pads covered under warranty?
