New E400
New E400
Hi all.
Looking to trade in my 2013 C300 for a 2016 E400.
Nice deals on the end of the model year cars.
Hoping to get $7000 off sticker, what do you all think is a reasonable discount?
Any last inputs between getting an E400 vs. E350 ?
Any difference in engine reliability between the two models ?
Hoping to pull the trigger 5/19/16.
TIA.

Looked at both the E350 and E400 sport sedans (RWD) before choosing the E400.
In addition to the more powerful and efficient 3.0L TT engine - the base E400 comes standard with the Premium One package, leather (ventilated/heated fronts), lane tracking, KEYLESS-GO, 18" AMG wheels and a MB-Tex dash and some others. These options would add ~ $7.5k to the base E350.
MSRP of an equivalent E350 will be ~ $2.5k less than the E400.

Just got 9K off a brand new E350. Should definitely be able to get at least 7K.
As these are the last in the line of the W212, they're generally perceived to be much higher in reliability than the earliest models. I had a last gen W204, for instance, and never had a single issue. Not one. Two trips to the dealership for service and traded it in for an E a couple years later.

I got $8000 off sticker on a 2016 E400 black/black.
I'll post some pictures tomorrow after I wash and apply Klasse AIO or Zaino AIO.
Thanks for the info.

I picked up a new E400 a couple of months ago. Love the car! Everyone will tell you it is not as fast as the E550 but since you cannot get that engine in this car, the E400 will do. The twin turbo is nice , smooth and quite fast. No regrets!
The E400 does come with some standard features that the E350 would be options so the price difference is not that drastic. Not sure if you are leasing or buying but the lease rates are not nearly as good on the 400 vs the 350 so you'll pay $100 more/month on the 400 than the 350. If you are buying, I think you could easily get $8-10k off sticker with all the rebates and hold back dollars especially this late in the model. The new one is right around the corner.
Also, not sure where you are located but I have a dealer in NJ I can put you in touch with that is no nonsense, great deals and a pleasure to work with. Would likely beat any deal you may already be working on. Worth a call. PM me if interested.
Thanks,
Joe

Looks great - congrats on the car. Since it is black take a look at some of the modern coatings, I put Polish Angel Cosmic on mine last year and the paint still looks stunning.
