Emergency brake
What's your effectiveness of your emergency brake / hand brake if you apply it while moving.....because mine us absolutely useless, barely slows the car down even if I put my knee out pushing the peddle down.

Exactly....I bought it from Jaguar garage who is a franchise dealer for merc's too. It passed an MOT of theirs even though I'd told them about the hand brake! They just replied that they are all like that....
I had an E39 BMW and that was the same..I took to stripping the brakes, cleaning and replacing the shoes and....there we go, working hand brake.

Out came the tools, trolley jack etc......
Rear brakes stripped, cleaned, adjusted and rebuilt......and
I now have a bloody working hand brake. Very easy to do....7mm Allen key, 18mm ring spanner, flat screwdriver and a torex of which I dont recall the size.....
If I do again, and I may because rear pads aren't great, I'll take pictures and post.
Cheers
