Completed all the mods to change the look of my E550, Pics!

When I got my E550 I loved it, I had it tuned by OE tuning and put on a magnaflow exhaust. But I wasn't satisfied, I wanted it to look more like an AMG and meaner to fit the way it drove and sounded

Here is a pic of the day I picked it up

Here are the pics from how it looks now (Pics were taken at different times, some may not have calipers painted red).

Here's the list of Mods
-Niche Targa Wheels in Anthracite - 19"x8.5" +34 Front and 19"x 9.5" rears. Tires are Continental DWS 255/35 and 285/30
-35% Window tint
-JBSpeed Roof spoiler
-JBSpeed Trunk Spoiler
-55tech Front Grill in gloss black
-JBSpeed Hood Emblem
-Clear Corners lightly smoked out
-Removed Chrome from lower doors
-Removed "4matic" from trunk
-Removed blue efficiency badges from sides and added gloss black "V8 Biturbo badges
-PlastiDipped all remaining chrome, black with glossifier: rear trunk strip, window trim, front lower led trims, rear trunk emblem and "E550" badges
-Sprayed the brake calipers with Duplicolor red paint.

I am extremely happy with the way the project came out I think the car looks totally different and very mean.

Beautiful job! Exactly as I would have done the blackout of that car. Applause all around.

Get downpipes, that was the best upgrade after my tune. I used Speedriven.

Thanks guys!

I had thought about doing downpipes. But at this point I cant justify the cost of parts, labor, etc for only 40hp.

I'm guessing you're on airmatic, consider getting some lowering links, they're like $100 and super easy to install yourself. But yeah, car looks great.

That is a mean looking 550..

+1 on the lowering links. You can get a kit on eBay for really cheap. I got mine from adjustableairride. They're a little bit more expensive but totally worth it. Great quality and I can adjust the height at any time in just a few minutes.

Unfortunately my car doesn't have airmatic. If it did I would have definitely installed lowering links.

Then you should definitely consider springs. In my opinion that is the single most effective way to change the look of a w212.

I agree it looks much better lowered, but living in NYC I am not willing to sacrifice ride quality with the poor roads out here.

What a gorgeous car! The targas are probably my favorite wheel design! Mind if I ask how you got silver trim off the sides of the doors?

Thanks!! I love the targas, I was deciding between those or the niche Milanos. Figured I couldn't go wrong with either. To get the trim off I just heated it up with a heat gun and pulled it off. Then cleaned with a good degreaser. It's just on with double sided tape.

I hear ya. I live outside of Philadelphia with some pretty rough roads as well. It can be tough sometimes but I kinda like the sports car feel... And definitely like the look.
Your car looks great. Enjoy!

Definitely look good. Also in NYC and only thing stopping me from doing anything to the car suspension is how bad the road here are. 35 tint all around right? I am consider doing tint but just a bit worry about cop giving me a hard time with them. But I love how it look on your car, seem like a good balance.

Unfortunately, the calipers are the one mod that didn't come out the way I planned or wanted. I planned to spray them red and add the "AMG" logo to them. but the lettering got messed up on application on one side so I removed from both. So now they are just plain red. Masking them and spraying them was very easy and came out great however.
