Driver side headlight out (it's not the bulb)
Hi,
I have got a Check Low Beam (driver side) warning on my 2011 E 550. Driver side headlight won't light up. I thought it was the bulb and replaced it, no luck then I realized the bulb really did not go out (as the same bulb placed in the Passenger side head lamp assembly lights up fine) so it is something else.
Did anyone run into this problem. Would like to know if there is anything I can do to fix the issue. My car has 65K miles (warranty was till 60K). I know for sure it is not the bulb. If it's not a fix I can do, how best to fix this (of course being reasonable on the pocket)?
Thanks for taking the time to read my post. Look forward to your replies/solutions.

so, you need to search and find how to pull the headlight and chage the ballast;
For my CLK I bought used ones from EBay and pulled the bumper(not hard).
Havent had to try my E350.

IIRC first test is to swap bulb which you sort of did. Next thing to trip is swap the ballast from passenger side. There are DIY videos on changing headlamps that show you how to drop bumper. Not my cup of tea, but have at it and keep us posted.
