Quick paddle shifter question
If you start off in say 3rd gear from a light and try to a 100, will it automatically shift to 4th 5th etc as it red lines? Anyone know how that works? Thanks!!

I bought an MB to be comfortable. If I wanted an aggressive sort of sport sedan I would have gotten another 5 series. BTW, I loved my old 5- it was AH MAY ZING as is my W212, but in a different way

Thanks. Reason for the question is I was at a light to a long on ramp to the freeway, tunes cranking and not realizing I was sitting in 3rd as I had down shifted approaching the light. Lite turned green and I was hammer time, get to the top of the ramp and went into what I presume is limp mode as the dash lite up like a Christmas tree and could not do over 40. Limped to the next exit, with a chunky chick right on a$$ screaming at me....shut the car off for a couple of minutes...restarted and all is well and it's been fine since

It is called "Italian tune up" and it really works.
