2014 E550 4MATIC TUNED - Turbo Upgraded Stage 3
nicobaires, I know you said that there was no drone inside, but I just saw people were complaining in different threads about unbearable drone inside the cabin when done muffler delete only. I own biturbo too, and am about to remove the mufflers.
Would you confirm that normal cruising hasn't changed much and the car is still comfortable to drive on long distance on highway?
The result that I want is louder and agreeable sound when in sport mode and pushing hard through 1-4 gears. But otherwise quite car (like it is today) when cruising 65-85mph on highway.

Turbo w212 muffler delete is not as aggressive as non-turbo w212.
There was no drone when i did it.
With muffler delete, the sound was still not enough.
So, i went with downpipe with muffler delete.
After i did that...
Its a nightmare...too loud to my taste.
Now, i put muffler back on. And replaced resonator with X-PIPE
It is now the best sound I ever wanted!!!!
Super Heavy low rumble sound when cruising. Loud High pitch sound when going WOT.

Deleted Mufflers - Love it
Thanks to Nicobaires who started this thread. I deleted the mufflers in my W212 bi-turbo and the sound is great:
It is 3 times louder and the growl is excellent. The people who say that it wasn't loud enough were perhaps looking for Ford Mustang level of noise - which is too unpleasant sound to my taste.
I am still getting used to some growl inside the cabin when cruising, especially between 1500 - 2000 RPMs. Stock mufflers were very quiet in that range. My GF says that she doesn't hear the difference. Perhaps I am paying attention to it hence hearing the difference.
