Power seat controls on door, need new button

So a weird question, but I broke the little button off for the headrest controls on my 2012 e350 (passenger side). The control itself works; the other controls for the seat are fine as well, and I have the piece I knocked off. I called the local MB dealership and was told that they don't sell the buttons separately, and the entire kit is $220.

Does anybody know if that is true? I tried searching on here as well as a few OEM type sites and no luck so far. I really don't want to spend that just for one little button! (I'd rather super glue it in place so at least it looks ok otherwise).

Thanks!

Give super glue a try, but be careful and don't use a paint brush!!

PS: Go back to the dealer and ask them to show you the kit!!

Which part did you break off, the button? or the tab that is attached to the door? The button you can buy from Ebay.

2014 E550-sold 😩
Yeah, you should be able to find a replacement on Ebay, or glue it back with epoxy not superglue.

Just the button I think. I can still operate the headrest and such. Pics included. I did glue it to the door itself at one point, so it looked like it worked, but wasn't attached to anything. The pic shows the glue that I haven't removed yet. I took it off to fix the headrest - I left it too high and my gf complained. Before I glue it back on I wanted to see if I could just replace the button.

Thanks!

glue, epoxy "might " work, but as soon as you try to move your headrest again that thing will fall off.

try ebay or wreckers.

As mentioned eBay and Amazon also have replacements. You can even order the newer silver finish replacements (not just caps) now.

My car also starting to act on driver side back seat adjustment button, it works sometimes and doesn't other times. Do you think button or seat has a problem.
My car CPO and i was wondering if this covered under CPO warranty also worrying that when i go there to show them the problem it will work!

If the button is on tightly, it sounds like its the control. Try taking a video of the problem and show it to the dealer.
