Ceramic tint film issue
So I had decided to spend some money on quality tint on the Benz and went with ceramic with heat reduction all around including windshield. The car does cool down quicker and maintains coolness with extreme hot weather. Pretty big downfall has been the radio frequency, it sucks... HD radio function goes in and out from the tint covering the antenna in the rear window. I should have possibly considered regular tint just for the rear window. But again that defeats the purpose of the heat reduction tints of the other windows. Are any of you guys having this issue?

Did a little more research. Most threads say ceramic prevents radio distortion. The fin is for GPS and cell. Wonder why my AM signal is not strong. It constantly reverts back and forth from HD radio.

I have ceramic film on my car, but have no radio issues that need m aware of. Did they put a heat rejection film on the windshield, or just side and rear windows?

When I got tint, there were 3 choices (Llumar product). The cheap stuff, the mid-grade, which is metallic embedded, and the ceramic. The guy said that the metallic stuff is no good on modern cars for the reasons you state, but the ceramic does not interfere with any radio signals. I have the Ceramic also, but I only listen to satellite radio, iPod, or Bluetooth, so no issues can be confirmed or denied.

So Mikrx80; you are saying you also had the clear film put on the windshield as well? My tint dude offered it to me as well, but said it would cause issues with my toll transponder.

I also have tint on the front windshield (80% nearly clear) and have had no issues with toll transponders.
