I have a C300 on the recall list. When I checked with the dealer a couple months ago, they said the parts are on back order for minimum 2 years.

for how many years? 2? haha wow
im gonna call some dealers around my area see what they say , most likely the same thing.
i just find it strange that bmw owners getting them replaced for a minute already... and i havent heard any of the benz owners speaking yet.

Yeah they said the backorder has ETA of 2 years.

We will likely have sold the C300 and gotten something else in 2 years.

Had my car serviced yesterday and SA checked MBUSA computer - no open recalls for my car, 2010 E350 manufactured in Nov. 2009.

yep my logic too , i hope it wont hurt the resale value or anything.

Mine is a 2011 and it's not on recall. Maybe it's something to do with the options on the car like the type of steering wheel or just what got shipped in that day it was built.

You should make sure that they have a rental for you when doing the airbag. MB should pay for it. Just make sure you call a few days in advance and have them reserve a car for you.
